The intellectual base is similar to the 50's ITV experiments
where the content providing of the broadcast would depend on the wievers.
This experimental technologies was not suitable at the time
because of the missing contemporary technical preparadness.

One hand the public broadcasting of images close relatives of the secret observations
on the other hand they are using similar apparatus,
similar technology and both are the instrument of power.
As Michael Foucault the French historian, philosopher in Discipline and Punish
point out our society is not a society of vision but a society of observe.
Nowadays our every step monitored by security cameras faceless
to the other side not mention the manipulating power of the television.
The installation mirrors the observer with the observant and vice versa.

This installation gives us the opportunity to involve the creative method in a democratic way.
In 1984 the significant Hungarian artist Miklós Erdély took up this problem in
Democratic Paintig wich deal with the devided passages and opposition
between audience and the performer.
With this piece he tried to analyze, solve these automaticaly accepted common conventions.
The Compound Eye aimed to bridge the distance and reach the borders.
-
Basically given a tool, from the intersection of art and technology
wich could make connection between the public points of the two worlds with camera images.
So using this we could be performes and audience at the same time.
